Shipping methods
You create a shipping method once and then select it per shop. The core brings two types: Flat rate and Weight brackets. Further ones – for a parcel service, say – come with shipping modules.
In the back end
Under Consho setup → Shipping methods.

Amounts
Through the Amounts operation: one amount per currency, entered gross or net, stored net. With weight brackets, Up to weight (kg) is added: the smallest matching bracket applies; if a parcel is heavier than the highest, the shipping method is not offered. What counts is the shipping weight of the articles, otherwise their weight; without either, an article counts as 0. A flat rate without an amount in the currency is not available – not free.
There is no free-shipping threshold on the shipping method: a cart rule with the effect “Free shipping” and a minimum order value does that.
In the shop and at checkout
In the shop configuration, section “Shipping and payment”, you tick the shipping methods and order them by dragging; the topmost available one is preselected. The checkout only offers countries at least one shipping method delivers to. If a basket contains only digital goods, the free “Electronic delivery” takes the place of a shipping method.
Findings
- No shipping method selected in the shop or none published: blocks the checkout.
- No amount in a currency (warning): the shipping method is not offered there.
- Delivery country without a shipping method (warning): the country silently disappears from the checkout. Add it to a shipping method or remove it from the delivery countries.
