Shipping costs page
The Shipping costs element shows the shop's shipping methods with countries, prices and limits – generated from the shipping methods, not by hand. So the costs are kept in one place only.
Setting it up
Put the element on a page and select that page as the Shipping costs page at the start point. “Create the missing shop pages” on the setup page does both.
What the page shows
- the countries per shipping method (“To every delivery country of the shop.” or “To: …”)
- the amount for a flat rate, a table “up to … kg” for weight brackets – for module types “The price is calculated at checkout.”
- the limits per piece and whether cash on delivery is possible, with a fee where applicable
For gross amounts the page uses the rate of the home country; if the tax is calculated proportionally, it points out that the amount at checkout may differ. Shipping methods without an amount in the page's currency are missing.
Good to know
- The page is not a legal text: which details your shop owes, you judge.
- The note “plus shipping” at prices is not linked to this page automatically.
- A start point without a shipping costs page gives a note, a page without the element a warning; neither blocks the checkout.
