Sitemap and structured data

Consho adds the products to Contao's own sitemap and gives search engines structured data on every product page.

Sitemap

  • It includes what a product list would show: visible, with a price, per start point in its language.
  • Variants and filter addresses stay out; landing pages go in if their listing page is in the sitemap.
  • When something changes in the back end, the sitemap of the start point is rebuilt. Writes past the back end do not trigger that.

Structured data (JSON-LD)

Every product page describes the product according to schema.org:

  • Product with name, description, image, SKU, manufacturer part number, GTIN and the brand from the manufacturer
  • Offer with price, currency, availability, shipping details per country including delivery time, and the return policy
  • unit price and strike-through price as price specifications
  • without a chosen variant, one offer across all variants (AggregateOffer)

A product without a price gets no structured data at all.

Unit price

In the “Sales” section of the product: Unit of measure, Content (e.g. 0.25 for 250 ml) and Reference quantity. This becomes “price / quantity unit”. If a variant has a unit of measure of its own, its three fields count as a set. With “Piece”, an empty unit or quantity 0, no unit price appears.
