E-invoice
Consho provides the technology; you are responsible for the content. This page describes what Consho does; it is not legal or tax advice.
With the e-invoice switched on, Consho embeds the data under ZUGFeRD in the EN 16931 profile into invoices, cancellations and corrections to business customers – the PDF stays readable as before. Consumers never get an e-invoice.
Switching it on
In the shop configuration, in the “Invoice sender” section: E-invoice (ZUGFeRD). It needs the company name, the country of the invoice sender, your own VAT ID and the Contact e-mail for invoices; without them the switch cannot be saved. According to the help text, the e-invoice between businesses in Germany becomes mandatory step by step from 2027.
Who gets it
A business customer is anyone in a customer group with net prices, or anyone who had a verified VAT ID at the purchase. This is recorded at the purchase.
Good to know
- The e-invoice concerns invoices that Consho numbers. Where an accounting module issues the invoices, or “Invoices issued by” is set to “Off”, it is up to whoever issues them.
- If something is missing when the invoice is issued, or the e-invoice cannot be generated, the invoice goes out as an ordinary PDF; the reason is in the system log.
- Consho does not generate a pure XRechnung with a Leitweg-ID, as public authorities require.
- If a mandatory field is emptied later, a finding reports it: until it is filled in again, invoices go out without e-invoice data.
